Premium Braided Mechanical Packing
Style 425
Premium Quality
SWEET SPOT & BEST USES:
FDA/USDA compliant. Firmer and more dense than the competition. It uses skived filament compliant yarns. Food products like chocolate, and pharmaceutical powders. Applications include mixers, blenders, and agitators.
PTFE yarns lubricated at the final production stage with an inert high-temperature lubricant.
Construction
Made using FDA and USDA compliant materials per CFR 21,178.3570 and 177.1550, Style 425 is an interbraided product of ultra silky PTFE yarns lubricated at the final production stage with an inert high temperature lubricant.
Characteristics
- Style 425 has higher lubricant retention than competitive offerings due to a special SealRyt® blocking process. Style 425 is a very dense version of our FDA/USDA packing products and as such acts very well in open clearance applications. Also, this density eliminates braid porosity allowing Style 425 to be effective where gases are part of the application.
Applications
Style 425 packing is suitable for pump, valve, agitator, tank cover and similar applications whether static or dynamic.
Suitable for incidental food contact applications.
NOTE: Style 425NL (No Lube) is available on special order as an oxygen certifiable product.
